A/N: Hey everybody thanks for all the reviews so far! Ok lets see...we are going to start this part right after Transfiguration, even though we left off right BEFORE it. No matter.... Mcgongall is boring anyway. Simple Letters and Complicated Words By: Ronluver D/C: None of these fabulous characters are mine, but for the purposes of this story I have taken over their minds and their emotions *Laughs evilly* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "LUNCH!" Ron yelled as he ran from Transfiguration, "I'm starving!" Harry laughed at Ron's outburst and followed behind. He wasn't really hungry, he just wanted lunch to be over, and he wanted everything to be over for that matter. He just wanted to go to Qudditch Practice, the first practice of the year and with.... Ginny. Ginny had just walked in and she ended Harry's thoughts with her own self. Harry sat down quickly. He didn't mean to think that. What he was going to think was that it was his first practice without Wood. Not his first practice with Ginny. Still that was what it was going to be.... Harry shook his head and dived into his lunch, completely absorbing himself and banishing any thoughts of that red haired Keeper. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hermione sat down next to Ron and stared at her filled plate. The sight of food made her physically ill. How could she eat when Voldemort was out there somewhere killing more innocent people? It was horrible to see these other students eating, talking, and laughing! Laughing! Hermione felt as if she'd never laugh again until this madness was stopped. She stared at the enchanted ceiling, her eyes clouding with yet more tears. She stood up quickly, frantic to leave the Great Hall. Blindly she walked, completely unaware of someone behind her... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Draco Malfoy watched as Hermione Granger sped from the Common Room and out the doors. He puzzled over this for only a moment, until he saw Ron walk out after her. Then he got it. The article.... Hermione the Mudblood.... it all made sense. She was still broken up over that article and could hardly concentrate on anything but it. Well after lunch we'll just go find her and that Weasel too. They need a little talking too. Draco thought as he turned back to his lunch.... WAIT! What was Potty up to over there? Draco dropped his fork in slight surprise as he watched Potter. He was staring, as Ron's sister, Ginny in a completely absent yet meaningful manner. Draco smirked even wider.... this little talking to was going to be quite fun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hermione collapsed against the cold stone wall underneath a large window. Rain poured down, seeming to intensify her feeling. She sat there, not moving, or speaking and barely breathing. She knew she was being stupid acting this way. None of the other Muggle borns were feeling this strongly...or.... were they? Hermione shook her head viciously, making herself dizzy. She stared at the floor in a blind state of panic and fury. She hated being so helpless and yet.... she felt it was needed from her somehow. Hermione sat up at the sound of footsteps coming down the hall. Hermione panicked at the thought of a teacher, but then she noticed the footsteps were coming quickly, like the person was running. Hermione peeked around the corner and saw a flash of familiar red hair. Ron. Ron was coming to find her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hermione!" Ron said as he turned the corner a second later, "What are you doing down there?" "I...I'm thinking Ron. Is that a crime." She retorted, a little more rudely than she'd intended. For once, Ron didn't rebuke. "Well no....not with you anyway. But...aren't you hungry?" Hermione looked at him for a second and then laughed, "HA! Hungry, no. I haven't being hungry for the past three days. I haven't been anything for the past three days really." Ron looked at her, a deep concern etching its way on to his face, "I know. You've been scaring me Mione." Hermione looked up, puzzlement all over her face and went to reply when she was interrupted by another voice. "Well, well, what do we have here Weasel and Mudblood." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ron jumped and spun to face Malfoy. Hermione struggled to stand up and walked right next to Ron, also facing Malfoy. "Well, two against one I see. Ha...you two could never do anything apart and you'll never do anything together...trust me." "What the hell Malfoy?" Ron questioned a look of anger and immense hurt on his face. Draco smiled at him, "Well Weasel don't you see. You can't do anything and, well, she here goes without say-" Draco got no further as Hermione stepped up and slapped him hard in the face, like she had done in third year. He staggered backwards, surprise in his cold eyes. "Hey Malfoy!" Malfoy turned his head around to see Harry walking toward him, Ginny following silently behind. Draco straightened up, "Hello Potty. I was just speaking to you little friends here about their miserable-" "Don't you talk about anyone Malfoy!" Hermione interjected quickly, "Especially us!" Malfoys smiled and let his gaze fall on Ginny Weasley. "Congratulations Weaslette for making the team. Aren't you afraid of making a fool of yourself in front of Potter? You've done that enough already haven't you?" Ginny opened her mouth to argue but got cut off by Harry, "Don't you dare drag Ginny into this you...you bloody git!" He stepped forward, but Ginny ran up and stopped him, same as Hermione did with a now shaking with rage, Ron. "Stop Harry he's not worth it." Ginny pleaded with him. "Yea Ron, even though he does deserve it." She glared at him; "he'll get what's coming to him later in his life." The four walked away, leaving a triumphant, yet mentally beaten down Draco staring after them. ~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~ "Harry lets go!" Fred yelled to Harry later that night, "We're gonna be late!" "I'm coming!" Harry yelled back as he grabbed his broom and sped out the Portrait Hole. He walked out on to the Qudditch Pitch excitement taking its hold. He felt at home here, move here than anywhere else. He couldn't wait to soar; dive and just plain fly... "OK everyone UP!" Angelina yelled and blew her whistle. Up they went Harry soaring higher and higher until he could hardly see anything but the sky. Practice went on without the snitch this time, since they were breaking Ginny in. She really is amazing, Harry found himself thinking as he watched her save another Quaffle. He mentally observed the look of intense concentration on her face, and her quick reflexive moments. He smiled and dived down closer. "You're doing wonderful Ginny!" Katie Bell yelled from the other side of the field. "Keep this up and you'll put Wood out of the running!" George yelled, circling near Katie. "Yea.... Hey Harry! Don't you think Ginny is amazing?" Fred fired at him unexpectedly. "Uh...yea of course Ginny is amazing...I mean just," Harry said in a strange voice. "OK Harry, she gets it." Alicia laughed at Harry's comment and Ginny's blush. After another hour of Practice, Ginny was losing it. She had already missed two Quaffles and was about to miss a third. She flung herself forward to stop it, but it brushed past her fingertips and scored. Nobody noticed this however...they were focused on Ginny. She had flung herself to far and was slipping forward off her broom. She gasped as she looked at the ground fifty feet away. If she fell... Too late. Her grip failed and she tumbled off, screaming. Alicia gasped but couldn't move, same as Katie. Angelina was too far away to be of any help and Fred and George's Cleansweeps would never make it in time. "HARRY!" Angelina screamed up to him, "HELP!" Harry, who had been flying about too high to realize what was going on, dove down. He saw Ginny falling and immediately went after her. Being a Seeker did have its good points, because he managed to catch her only five feet from the ground. Harry had grabbed her around the waist and hoisted her up onto his broom within a matter of minutes. She clung to him, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Her eyes were shut tight and she didn't move at all. Everyone flew over and were sighing or congratulating Harry on his save. Harry just smiled and glanced at Ginny. "Ginny...you can open your eyes." He said. She shook her head no. "Ginny! You're OK now...Harry's got you." Fred said, a trickle of smugness in his voice. Ginny slowly opened her eyes and released her hold on Harry suddenly. She stared at her hands and then up at him, a grateful smiling lighting up her pale features. Then she flung her arms around his neck and whispered, "Thank you Harry! Oh My God Harry thank you so much!" and pulled away. Harry didn't respond right away...he was too concerned about his heart at the moment. It didn't seem to be working right; it was skipping beats... "Come-on Gin.... Let's get you inside." Fred said taking her and putting her safely on the ground . As she walked away Harry found his voice, "No Problem Ginny." She just turned and smiled softly, before disappearing inside the castle. Harry turned to dismount when he saw Katie, Angleina and Alicia watching him. "What?" "Nothing absolutely nothing Harry." They laughed. Harry shrugged and made his way into the castle. This had certainly been an interesting day.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N: Well.... that was action packed wasn't it? LOL...well tell me how ya liked it and R&R!!!!
