A/N: Here is Part 5!!! Ok, the last part revealed a little more on the emotions part...now we are going to get into more troubled deeper things. It is now August 20th and Ron and Hermione have never spoken about the letter at all. Harry and Ginny on the other hand, have spoken alot this summer. Although nothing serious was discussed.... yet. It is nighttime now, and our fav four are all outside...talking.... Simple Letters and Complicated Words By: Ronluver Harry was sitting on the Weasley's back porch, on their swinging bench, gazing at the stars. He was lost to the world at that moment, and didn't notice Ginny seat herself beside him. She watched him for a few moments then said softly, "Harry? Are you...OK?" Harry swiveled around to face her, a little too quickly. He had been startled out of his reverie, by the soft voice, and knew instantly who it was. Ginny was the only person he knew with a voice like that. Soft, and sweet, like she really cared about whatever, or whomever she was talking to. Harry sighed inwardly then said, "Hey Ginny." Ginny smiled slightly in return, the dimple in her left cheek, vaguely appearing, "Are you OK Harry?" she asked again. Harry looked at the stars for a long moment and then answered, without looking at her, "Not...not really." He said it so softly that Ginny barely heard him. "Do you...want to talk about it Harry?" she probed gently. Maybe, maybe he would open up to her.... Harry was silent, then he burst out forcefully, suddenly, and "Do you believe in fate Ginny?" Ginny was taken aback by this sudden question, but she answered truthfully, "Well, on certain terms, yes I do." "Well I don't." "Why Harry?" Harry stared at her, an amazed expression on his face, "Was it fate for my parents to die Ginny? Was it fate for me to be The Boy Who Lived? Was it fate for most of the magical world to be in danger because Voldemort couldn't kill me!" Harry stopped here and drew a long breath. Ginny stayed silent. Harry put his head in his hands, and said in regret filled voice, "Ginny.... was it fate for Cedric to die because of me? Was that FATE Ginny?" Ginny gasped loudly, "Harry don't even talk like that! Cedric's death was an accident. Harry you know that! As for your parents, they died Harry, to let you live. You didn't put the magical world in danger either." Harry looked up at her, "I didn't?" "Harry! Of course you didn't! All that was Voldemort's doings! Why he wanted to kill your father I don't know, or why in the world he is after you either. But Harry, none of this is your fault. They were causalities that couldn't be helped! I don't want to hear you blame yourself for those things again Harry!" Ginny said earnestly grabbing onto Harry's wrist. Harry didn't look over at her. He couldn't. Tears had sprung to his eyes, and he would rather face another Horntail, than let someone see him crying. Especially Ginny. He never got the chance however, because at that moment.... SLAM Ginny and Harry turned quickly and watched as Ron nearly ran out into the garden, fists clenched and face slightly red. He looked angry.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ron slammed the patio door shut and ran out into the backyard, in a blind furry. Flying into the garden he began to pace back and forth, talking to himself. "Fred and George, had no right to...to do that! They had no right NO RIGHT to embarrass me that way, or to make those accusations!" Ron said slamming his fist into his other palm. He then took refuge on the nearby bench, roughly putting his head in his hands. He stared at the stars, not really thinking, yet his mind was racing. Fred and George and their stupid sayings! Looke Fred....Ronnikinns is trying to..." AUUGGHHHH! Ron didn't even want to think about it. He went back to staring blindly at the stars, not noticing them, or Harry and Ginny who were only about ten feet from him. Ten minutes later Hermione came out into the yard. She glanced around for Ron, still not spotting Harry and Ginny. She noticed him on the bench and started to walk over. As she came closer she noticed how furious he still looked. His mouth was set in a firm line, and his eyes were clouded. She sat down beside him, and he looked up quickly. His ears turned slightly pink, but he said quite sadly "Hello." Hermione took heart, Fred and George has embarrassed him after all, "Hey Ron, don't listen to your brothers..." she started. "They're right though." Hermione stared at him, "Right? About what? Me...or..." "Not you. Me. I....I never know when to back off." he said somewhat reluctantly. Hermione smiled slightly, "Well that's true." Ron looked at her sharply. "You're not mad at me, but I was, so.... so..." "Rude. I know but remember my letter. I'm trying not to get mad at you. It really is hard though..." To her amazement Ron laughed and said, "Yea well I'm not the cheeriest person when it comes to Krum." "I've noticed. You know, I was serious in the letter." "So was I" Ron interrupted. "No, I mean I was serious about talking about it with you in person. Like say...right now." "Oh." Ron said looking at the ground, "Oh, ok...well talk." Hermione rolled her eyes, but started talking anyway, "You know Ron, as much as I disliked your letter, I did respect you for writing it and not being a jealous prat." Ron snapped his head up, "I was not---" "YES. You were jealous...but.... you were also.....right." Hermione said slowly, biting her lip. Ron's eyebrows rose slightly at her statement. "I was right? Me? Are you sure that I was right...." "Yes, Ron believe me you were." Ron opened his mouth to tease her but shut it after he started to think about what it was he could be right about. His eyes grew slightly larger, as his mind began to race, but he asked quickly, "Why? What was I right about Hermione?" Hermione didn't look at him when she spoke, "Almost everything." "Everything about..." "Victor! Everything about him Ron! His eyes, that looking thing.... I don't know how you...." Ron cut her off as he slapped his hand over his eyes, "Oh god" he moaned, and "I was right about that I didn't really mean.... WAIT! I was right about that! Then he must've, did he...if he!" Ron stuttered in a growing rage. Hermione just nodded her head, "Well he sort of..." Ron sat bolt upright, "He sort of what? What did he do to you Hermione?" "Well, he sort of.... tried to.... well, he wanted.... Uh...kiss me." Hermione floundered, but finished in a bare whisper. Ron's eyes suddenly blazed up like bonfire might have. Hermione swore she could see a faint reflection of flames inside them.... His voice was soft, almost deadly, "He...WHAT!" "He tried to kiss me Ron! Are you deaf!" "No. But how, why, when? What did you do?" "Well it started in his house, we were looking at his Quidditch trophies, when he just.... started to play with a strand of my hair." Hermione blushed and demonstrated with her fingers, "Like this...and then he sort of moved his hand to my shoulder...." Ron was watching her transfixed, slightly confused here. "Then he turned me around, so I was facing him, and then he just sort of... leaned in closer, you know, like this." Hermione demonstrated by leaning in forward towards Ron. Ron didn't move a muscle, but he said, "And then...." "And then he was about to kiss me, but I moved away. I...I didn't really want to kiss him...." Ron's face relaxed and he moved slightly away from her, saying nothing. Hermione looked over at him, weighing his reaction of what she was about to ask, "Hey...Ron?" "Yeah?" "Do you think, well was it.... OK for me to move away like that. I mean I didn't want to hurt him. Its just he's so much older, and we couldn't really do.... I mean I was very uncomfortable and..." Ron glanced up at her; she was rambling now, "Hermione.... I guess it was OK. I wouldn't know personally of course, but my Mom says you should never do anything that makes you uncomfortable." "Your mom says that?" "Well yeah. And I suspect that will hold for kissing to ya know." Hermione laughed suddenly, "You know Ron, you're right...I'm not going to worry about it anymore, really I'm.... Ron look!" Hermione interrupted herself. "What?" "Harry and Ginny, Ron look..." "Yeah what about them?" "Well they're together, talking, and seem to be enjoying each others company. They really look like they are discussing something important." "Like us you mean?" Ron asked quickly, looking right at her. "Well.... you could say that I suppose...you know its getting chilly, I'm going in." Hermione answered him quickly. She wanted to get away from that look in his eyes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She jumped up quickly and started toward the house. Ron silently followed her, and before she reached the door he said, "Hey.... her...her.... MIONE!" His voice stuck in his throat and he only managed to say the last part of her name. Hermione spun around quickly, her eyes wide with surprise, "What did you just call me Ron?" "Your name?" "No, you said Mione. No has called me that since...since..." "Since...?" "Well, since my Grandfather passed away. Mione was his special name for me. It was so shocking to hear you say it Ron." "Oh Hermione I'm sorry. I won't say it anymore, promise." "No, no no no no! Say it Ron, please say it. I want to be called it again." Ron smiled slightly. He had never really heard Hermione plead much before about anything... "OK then, from this point on you are known to me as Mione." "Deal." Hermione said, extending her hand to shake. Ron shook it for about to two seconds, then hastily pulled away. As the two went inside, they were both very much aware of the tingling in their hands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harry and Ginny had watched this whole spectacle from the porch bench. Harry found it quite confusing, but Ginny, ever the dreamer, found it romantic. "That was strange, wasn't it?" Harry asked Ginny. Ginny stared at him, how could he not see what had just taken place here? "Yea Harry, it certainly was...strange." She sighed, "Harry I'm going inside now, coming?" "In a minute. Oh and Ginny?" He asked as she neared the sliding door. "Yeah?" "Thanks alot for the talk..." Ginny smiled, "Anytime Harry." Then she disappeared, a little disappointed, but hopeful still. As for Ron and Hermione, they were both confused, Ron more so than Hermione, however. Ron had gone right upstairs to bed, but Hermione stayed down in the living room staring at the fire. "Well, I thought it was so...but honestly, who knew?" She smiled softly and went up the creaky stairs to bed. Ginny went up to her room, and looked out her window. Peering down, she saw Harry still sitting on that bench, lost to the stars again. Ginny sighed and shut her wind against the breeze. Climbing into bed she whispered, "Well I tried..." then she fell asleep. Harry sat outside for only a minute longer, thinking about his talk with Ginny. She was right, that he knew. He also knew that he could still feel the warm pressure of her hand on his wrist... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N: JEEZ! This part took me forever to write!!!!
